What does PNC say to do in the first 60 minutes after a fraudulent payment?
PNC's guide for its Treasury Management clients lists five steps for the first 60 minutes: stop pending payments, call Treasury Management Client Care at 1-800-669-1518, Option 1, ask for a recall, keep the emails, and file at ic3.gov.

What does PNC's guide say?
The 60 minutes are PNC's own advice. No government source we read sets a window that short.
In the first 60 minutes
Stop any pending or scheduled payments, if possible.
Contact Treasury Management Client Care immediately at 1-800-669-1518, Option 1.
Contact your financial institution immediately and request a recall of the funds (your bank may require additional documentation).
Preserve emails, instructions and payment details related to the request.
File a complaint at www.ic3.gov and include full transaction details to support potential fund-freeze efforts.
What can an outside reading tell you after a payment fraud?
An outside reading cannot see your mailboxes, so it cannot tell you whether someone signed in to one.
It can show three things that bear on how a fraud like this reaches a firm: whether your DMARC record tells mail servers to refuse mail forged in your name, which look-alike domains of yours are registered, and which addresses at your domain are listed in breach data from other services.
