What does Mailchimp ask me to publish?

For manual setup, email domain authentication with Mailchimp still requires you to add 2 CNAME records and 1 TXT record to your domain's DNS records.

Mailchimp makes the values for your account, so we do not print any here.

02

Where in Mailchimp are my values shown?

Click your profile icon and choose Account & billing . If you're an account Manager, click Account . Click the Domains tab. Click Start authentication next to the verified email domain you want to work with.

In Mailchimp, click your profile icon and choose Account and billing, then open the Domains tab and click Start authentication next to your verified email domain.

Copy each value from there exactly as shown, and add each record at your DNS host.

Will p=reject block Mailchimp email?

They also require a published Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) record for those who send more than 5,000 emails to Gmail or Yahoo addresses in a 24-hour period.

Not once Mailchimp signs your email with your domain's DKIM key. DMARC passes when a message passes DKIM or SPF for your own domain, and the DKIM records Mailchimp gives you are on your domain.

Mailchimp says Gmail and Yahoo require a published DMARC record from senders who send more than 5,000 emails to their addresses in 24 hours.

Mailchimp also asks that your domain has a DMARC record. A domain has one DMARC record: if you have one, keep it and do not add another.

Before you raise your policy, read your DMARC reports and check that email from Mailchimp passes.
