What does Squarespace Email Campaigns ask me to publish?

When you set up your Email Campaigns sender details, you'll choose a send from address. We recommend using a custom email address associated with your domain, like [email protected] .

Squarespace Email Campaigns prints these values in its own documentation, the same for every customer.

Squarespace Email Campaigns makes the other values for your account, so we do not print them here.

Where in Squarespace Email Campaigns are my values shown?

Open the Email Campaign settings panel . If you haven't already, add a sender name and email address. Then paste the code sent to the email address to prove you have access to its inbox. Under Sender details , click Authenticate.

In Squarespace, open the Email Campaign settings panel and, under Sender details, click Authenticate.

Copy each value from there exactly as shown, and add each record at your DNS host.

03

Will p=reject block Squarespace Email Campaigns email?

If your domain has a DMARC policy set to p=reject, you can't use your sender details until after you verify the domain.

Not once Squarespace Email Campaigns signs your email with your domain's DKIM key. DMARC passes when a message passes DKIM or SPF for your own domain, and the DKIM records Squarespace Email Campaigns gives you are on your domain.

If your domain has a DMARC policy of reject, Squarespace says you cannot use your sender details until the domain is verified.

Squarespace no longer asks for an SPF record.

Squarespace Email Campaigns also asks that your domain has a DMARC record. A domain has one DMARC record: if you have one, keep it and do not add another.

Before you raise your policy, read your DMARC reports and check that email from Squarespace Email Campaigns passes.
