01

What exactly does the form ask?

These are the forms' own words, with the form and page each comes from.

Is the Applicant, any Subsidiary, or any person proposed for this insurance aware of any circumstance that could give rise to a claim against them under this CyberRisk Coverage?

Are there any facts, circumstances or situations which could give rise to a claim being made against any insured that may be covered by this Policy?

any claim or action arising from such fact, circumstance or situation will be excluded from coverage under the proposed policy, if issued by the Insurer.

02

What does it mean for a small firm?

A circumstance is a known event, such as a client told their data may have been seen, or a payment you suspect was misdirected. It is not a general risk.

03

How do I answer it truthfully?

Ask the partners and the office manager directly before signing. Write down anything that has happened and not yet been resolved. Ask your broker how to describe it.

04

Can an outside reading check this?

An outside reading cannot tell you what has happened inside your firm. Only the people who were there can.
