After your engagement closes

What happens once the Hardening Certificate is issued, and how to re-engage later.

Last updated 2026-05-11 Implementation

Closing an Implementation engagement does not close your relationship with LeakTrace. Several things happen automatically after the certificate is issued.

Your audit dashboard status

Your audit dashboard remains accessible. All findings show their final status: Resolved, Mitigated, or Suppressed. The compliance evidence package is now suitable for cyber-insurance and vendor questionnaires.

Continuous Monitoring rollover

If you started a Monitoring trial as part of your Scope purchase, Implementation completion is a natural time to convert it. New exposures detected after the engagement appear in the monitoring dashboard and trigger your configured alerts. See Find your monitoring dashboard.

Re-engage later

Customers commonly re-engage Implementation 6 to 12 months after the first engagement, typically driven by a new monitoring alert, a cyber-insurance renewal, or an organizational change. New engagements start with a fresh Scope audit so we have a current baseline.

Hardening Certificate recertification

The Hardening Certificate is dated. It does not expire formally, but cyber-insurance underwriters and vendor security reviewers typically want a certificate dated within the past 12 months. If you need a current certificate, run a fresh Scope audit and an abbreviated Implementation cycle.
