How we pick contractors

The hiring bar, what contractors can and cannot do, and how to request a different one.

Implementation contractors are not in-house staff — they are vetted independent specialists we work with on engagement-by-engagement contracts.

Hiring bar

Each contractor has signed a confidentiality agreement, completed a technical screening on the specific platforms they remediate (M365, Google Workspace, common SMB stacks), and passed reference checks with previous LeakTrace engagements before being assigned to customers.

North America only

All contractors are based in Canada or the US. They work standard North American business hours. We do not assign offshore contractors.

What contractors can do

  • Walk you through remediation in a screen-share session.
  • Prepare a written remediation brief specific to your audit.
  • Reverify findings as they get closed.
  • Issue the Hardening Certificate on engagement completion.

What contractors cannot do

  • Refund or change pricing — refund decisions go through [email protected].
  • Modify your audit findings outside the standard lifecycle.
  • Access your systems with admin credentials. They never ask for passwords.

Request a different contractor

If your assigned contractor is not a good fit (schedule conflict, communication issues, technical mismatch), email [email protected]. We reassign without question and without delaying your engagement.
